I wish I would have realized when I was young that something that came so naturally to me was also something I could pursue as a profession. I've always loved creating environments that are inviting and inspiring, and other people always seem to like coming to, and hanging out in my home.

Throughout our Twenties and Thirties, my husband and I moved almost every two years, each time finding great pleasure in seeing how much we could transform a space to give it that peaceful, cozy, relaxed and secure feeling that we  love to come home to.

Eventually friends started asking if they could pay me to help them with their homes and I began to realize my passion as a profession.

In 2003 I opened Homeworks Staging and Design with two extremely talented and creative friends. At that time, not too many people in the Seattle area knew what a Home Stager was or did, but one of my friend's husband was a builder and was willing to give us our first job. Right off the bat, other builders and realtors took notice, the compliments and referrals kept coming our way, and we got really busy really fast. We were three moms with 6 kids under the age of 8 between us. After several years of juggling a busy staging business with being an active and involved mom, I made the decision to leave staging to spend more time with my family.

Over the next several years people continued to ask for my help designing and decorating their homes. I began taking on projects of a larger scope including selecting fixtures and finishes and coordinating with contractors in addition to selecting furnishings and accessories.

These were the years when I began to realize that  I was really good at this.

I saw people value my knowledge, insight, experience and creativity, and I learned a lot about collaborating with contractors and vendors and with that I gained a lot more confidence.  People would tell me they like my style and more importantly, they told me they like working with me as a person.

I am excited that there is always more to learn, always more to inspire me. This inspiration gives me a sense of purpose and an enthusiasm for any project I take on.

I look forward to helping you  transform your interiors and create that lifestyle you love to live.
